The Mountain from ‘Game of Thrones’ announced the Vikings 4th-round pick

On Saturday, the final rounds of the 2017 NFL draft continued in Philadelphia. Unlike the past rounds, the picks were announced from the host cities of all 32 teams. With the Minnesota Vikings pick in the fourth round, The Mountain from HBO’s Game of Thrones announced their pick all the way from Iceland, instead of Minnesota.

The Vikings selected linebacker Ben Gedeon out of Michigan. When the group said “SKOL VIKINGS” with the pick, it’s actually an old Vikings battle cry. Here’s SB Nation’s Daily Norseman on the significance of the phrase:

If you’re a wide receiver and Tom Brady can’t make you look good, you’re in trouble. Dobson was a curious pick out of Marshall University — a deep threat whose yards-per-reception decreased each year he spent in college. He never gained more than 689 yards in a single season with the Thundering Herd, but had strong measurables and looked the part of a No. 1 wideout.

Unfortunately for New England, he carried on a proud tradition of regrettable WR draft choices. Dobson had a solid rookie campaign after making nine starts, but soon fell out of favor while players like Kenbrell Thompkins and Brian Tyms usurped his spot in the lineup.

In addition, practice time was cut drastically when the new NFL collective bargaining agreement was approved in 2011. The CBA reduced the offseason program from 14 weeks to Cheap Kids Baseball Jerseys nine, and Cheap Jerseys In China created time limits. Training camp went from being daily, with occasional two-a-days, to just one padded practice per day and one day off per week.
